Money

How Bazar makes money.

Most online retailers won't tell you exactly how they make money. We will.

Bazar is an independent retailer that helps you shop Amazon's catalog with better tools: price tracking, drop alerts, and a cleaner shopping experience. There's no membership, no monthly fee, and no hidden markup on what you pay.

So how do we keep the lights on? One way, on the orders you place with us. Here it is.

When you buy on Bazar

When you click "Add to Cart" and check out on our site, you pay us, and we use Amazon's logistics network to ship your order. We don't mark up the item price; checkout adds only the small service fee, tax, and shipping shown before you pay.

Behind the scenes, we charge that order to our Amazon Business credit card. Amazon gives us 5% cashback on the transaction. After payment processing fees (typically about 3%), we net about 2% on your order.

On a $25 order, that's about $0.50 to us. On a $200 order, about $4. It's a small margin per order, and it works because we don't pay for warehouses, packing, or shipping infrastructure. Amazon does all of that.

Alongside the item price, checkout adds one small flat service fee — currently $0.25 — that goes toward processing your payment and coordinating the order. It's a single fixed fee per order, not a percentage, so it doesn't grow with the size of your cart.

What we'll never do

  • We will never sell or share your shopping data with third parties
  • We will never add hidden fees at checkout
  • We will never claim to be Amazon, owned by Amazon, or an “official partner”
  • We will never inflate prices to fake a discount

If we ever break any of these, send us a screenshot and we'll fix it: support@bazar.earth.

Want to verify

Every claim above is checkable.

  • Every line item — the product price, the flat $0.25 service fee, tax, and shipping — is itemized at checkout before you pay. Nothing is hidden.
  • Our footer states it plainly: "Bazar is an independent retailer. We are not owned by or endorsed by Amazon."
  • Compare any item against its price elsewhere. We don't mark up the item price; our margin comes only from the cashback and the flat service fee described above.

Why we're telling you this

A shopping site's incentives shape what they show you. Most sites don't disclose theirs because the answer is uncomfortable. We're disclosing ours because we think it's the only way to earn long-term trust, and because if you understand how Bazar works, you'll trust the recommendations more.

If you have any questions, we'd rather hear from you than have you guess. Contact us at support@bazar.earth.
