One of the wold's most unique office notebooks, the journal contains handmade paper that follows a 1,000-year-old tradition of making paper by hand in the Himalayan mountains of Nepal. The tree-free paper comes from the fibrous inner-bark of the lokta bush. The bush regrows quickly after being cut, making it a sustainable resource for the paper. The fibers and cooked into a mash and then spread by hand across boxed screens and set to dry in the Himalayan sunshine. The paper is acid free and contains the natural flecks and texture that makes the special handmade process. The combination cover in the Nepali Collector Journal features a vegetable-dyed water buffalo leather spine, dyed with natural mimosa creating the caramel color and a lokta paper hardcover, vegetable dyed with black walnut husks to create the dark brown color.
