Instead take the bottle cap, holding it by the top and gently push down on the anti-colic value so it fits snugly. Next screw the bottle body into the base so it is tight. Look inside the bottle, the valve should sit cleanly and snug inside the bottle with no little snags in the joint between the bottle body and the base.
